Varsity Assistant Coach Kyle Fleming
Coach Fleming is in his 1st year on the Blue Devil Baseball Staff. He is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a 4 year varsity starter at Stanton College Preparatory School. After high school, he attended South Georgia Junior College and was a 2 year starter in the outfield. Coach Fleming was named to the 2006 GJCAA All-Playoff Team after hitting .800 with 3 doubles in 6 playoff games. Coach Fleming received the 3rd most Playoff MVP votes behind current Major League Baseball players Josh Reddick and Charlie Blackmon. After junior college, Coach Fleming was a starter in the outfield for 2 more years at Jacksonville University. In 2009, the Jacksonville Dolphins won the Atlantic Sun Conference and played in the NCAA Tournament, at the Gainesville Regional at the University of Florida. Coach Fleming made the All Gainesville Regional Team after hitting .417 with 2 doubles in 2 games versus Miami and 2 game against Bethune Cookman. Coach Fleming received a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Jacksonville University. He stayed in Florida and was hired a social studies teacher and baseball coach at West Nassau High School. He was an assistant coach for 2 seasons and the head coach there for 5 seasons. In those 5 seasons, the West Nassau Warriors reached the playoffs 3 years and twice won the District 4-4A Championship. He also worked with the Jacksonville Warriors and Five Star Baseball travel organizations. Coach Fleming relocated, with his wife Emily and 2 children Kash and Kole, to the Marietta area in the summer of 2017. He is a social studies teacher at Marietta High School. Coach Fleming will be working with the catchers and hitters.
