For those players who made the first cut, please report back to MHS for the second round of tryouts, which will be Tuesday and Wednesday (1/17, 1/18) from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The final roster will be posted Thursday 1/19 and regular practice will begin Monday January 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at MHS.

TRYOUTS: 6th-8th grade tryouts  January 10, 11 5:30-7:30 PM rain or shine at Marietta HS field and indoor facility.  Bring cleats and tennis shoes and baseball euipment. 

Instructional Clinics: Thanks to the JR Blue Devils who participated in the clinics over the holidays.  Our coaching staff enjoyed working with you guys.  Congratulations to Will Barnes for being named the JR Blue Devil of the clinic.  Will is pictured below with Coach Stafford:

The Marietta Blue Devils “JR” Programs presently include an “A”  team comprised of 7th and 8th grade student-athletes but may this year expand to include a  “B” team comprised of 6th and 7th graders.  We also plan to expand the JR program to younger student-athletes through instructional programs in the near future.

• “A” Team 7th and 8th graders
• “B” Team 6th and 7th graders
• Instructional Programs 5th graders and below

The purpose of this letter is to collect contact information for families of students in all grade levels who have an interest in Marietta Baseball. 

 We all know what a tremendous impact that participation in positive programs like baseball can have on young people.

We also know it is crucial for any program to identify and develop talent early to help it reach its potential and to ensure success in the future.

Participation in JR Blue Devils Baseball Programs will allow our young student-athletes to gain life-lessons that will prepare them for success in the classroom, career, community, and beyond.

Under the guidance of Varsity Head Baseball Coach Chris Stafford the JR Blue Devils Baseball Programs will also help develop and prepare our young student-athletes for success on the baseball diamond as they are the future of ourMarietta baseball program.

We are in the initial stages of implementing these programs.
